Where Have All The Encyclodepias Gone?

I think I was around 14-16 years old when I decided to read the Encyclopedia. The whole thing. A- Z. I like books and it was a book and I had nothing else to do. So I did. I use to skim through it anyway. All the books were alphabetized and all in a pretty little row. I love organized uniformity. I used to choose a letter at random and then look through the book, hoping that I pick up some random knowledge to make me smarter than everyone else. The problem was that this edition was from 1979. It was 2000. Some information was outdated, new information needed to be added, but whatever.
I just randomly thought of this a couple of weeks ago. I think it was when I couldn’t sleep. I really want to do it again except I don’t know where to find an encyclopedia that’s made after 1995. Do they even make those anymore? People Google and Wikipedia. I like the book version. The information isn’t always up to date but I like that you can touch it, and turn the pages and smell the musty leather cover.

I hate technology.
